Flower Bed (50 x 50 stitches)

This is the first piece contributing to a series of small embroidery experiments connecting stitching with photography and nature. 'Flower bed' is composed of 2,500 hand-stitched crosses encouraging viewers to consider their own idea of the aesthetic through a pixilated rendition of yellow and orange flowers. Their form in real life juxtaposes their texturised image within my work through my documentation. (1/3).
